QUESTION
Why do some Americans not want to be carbon neutral?
MY ANSWER
For two very different reasons. First, what climate science says is that burning fossil fuels causes atmospheric CO2 to rise and cause warming and the solution demanded is that we must stop burning fossil fuels. There is no provision here for burning fossil fuels if a supposedly equivalent carbon cycle intervention is made and that means that carbon neutrality is a bogus concept. And second, what we see is a large number of people that include scientists and weathermen who disagree with the climate science hypothesis that burning fossil fuels causes atmospheric CO2 to rise. This position of the critics is supported by the climate science shift from equilibrium climate sensitivity to transient climate response as described in the document linked below.

The molecular weight of CO2 is 44
The molecular weight of aluminum is 27
The molecular weight of H2O is 18
The molecular weight of air is 14.3
Anyone who took a 7th grade chemistry class, and didn’t sleep through it, should know these simple facts and know that CO2 can’t possibly accumulate in our atmosphere.
If CO2 molecules didn’t precipitate out of our atmosphere like tiny hailstones and return to the soil and the sea, all plants on the planet would suffocate, there would be no photosynthesis, and the oceanic food chain would collapse because the diatoms, corals, shrimp and mollusks would be be unable to create the calcium CARBONate for their exoskeletons.
Being carbon neutral is crime against humanity.
Less CO2 means less food.
Fortunately the CO2 is not aware of how ignorant most people are of the most basic scientific facts.
All the phony charts and graphs can’t change actual scientific facts.
