If we fail to prevent the worst consequences of climate change and biodiversity loss could society, or at least humanity, realistically survive? What technologies would be needed and what would life be like?

MY ANSWER

What we need here is not technologies but a sufficient dose of rational thought for humans to come down to earth from their God like self image. We just live here. We are not the operaters or managers of the planet and we don’t run the climate system either. What on earth has happened to once rational and intelligent humans? Where did this God like self image come from?
