The Natures in the Philippines

QUESTION:

What are the different projects done by the Philippine government to battle climate change and other environmental issues?

ANSWER:

By their own admission, the climate change crisis is a creation of the rich countries of the Global North because their scientists have determined that they, the Global North, did the Industrial Revolution all wrong with fossil fuels. They say that what they need to do now is to rewind, reinvent the Industrial Revolution, and redo the Industrial Revolution correctly with renewable energy.

There is no role for the Global South in this issue except to sue the Global North for the harm done to the Global South by their fossil fueled Industrial Revolution and to receive adequate compensation not only for the harm done but also to provide funding for the climate action that the Global South is required take to save the planet from the Industrial Revolution done wrong by the Global North.

EXCERPT

The anthropogenic global warming and climate change movement of our time is therefore the hindsight of the Global North’and their confession that their fossil fueled Industrial Revolution had been done all wrong because of the use of fossil fuels. Their position on this issue is therefore that “We, the Global North, did the Industrial Revolution all wrong and so we must rewind and do it right“. This argument and its logical implications have no relevance for the Global South.

There is no context for the Global South in the foundational climate movement proposition that “we did the industrial revolution all wrong and we must rewind and do it right”. The Global South did not do the Industrial Revolution. That climate evil that gave us the climate catastrophe of our time is a creation of the Global North and only of the Global North. The climate crisis created by fossil fuels and the climate crisis movement against fossil fuels are both creations of the Global North and they are relevant only to the Global North in terms of the context of rewind and do the Industrial Revolution correctly. The Industrial Revolution is a creation of the Global North and their love hate relationship with it can only be understood in that context such that it has no relevance to the Global South.

Therefore, although climate change is a global issue, its cause and the need for climate action as stated in AGW science can only be understood as a Global North issue. If the Global North needs to cut emissions in the Global South it must do so at no cost or hardship to be borne by the Global South because the Global South was not involved in the Industrial Revolution that created the climate crisis. In addition, if the Global North admits that they screwed up their Industrial Revolution and caused Global Harm, they must pay the appropriate compensation to the Global South and provide full funding for any climate action that needs to be taken by the Global South. For a start they must stop using their former colonies as pitiful victims of climate change to sell their climate agenda.

Unabridged nonsense.

The release of CO2 by hydrocarbon usage is a major benefit to mankind, not a pollutant or a detriment.

The release of CO2 by hydrocarbon usage means more food for the entire world at no additional cost for water or fertilizer, and more CaCO3 for diatoms, shellfish and corals.

The molecular weight of CO2 is 44 while H2O is only 18.

CO2 molecules are more than twice as heavy as H20.

CO2 is only 1/2,500th of our atmosphere because CO2 molecules cannot accumulate in our atmosphere because they are more than 3 times heavier than air and a pesky quirk of nature called gravity.
